This year has flown by and we are already in the second half of the year! We have had some fantastic weather over the past few months and it is said to persist over the coming months too! We have come up with a few ideas for a day out in North Wales, the perfect way to relax and unwind this summer.
Loggerheads Country Park
A designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this area of the Clwydian Range is a great place to spend a day out. A wooded river valley, the park is free to enter and has a number of accessible pathways which are perfect for a stroll on a summer’s day. There are partially hidden remains within its woodland which provide evidence of an industrial path, a great place to explore immerse yourself in a historic location.
Moel Famau
The highest hill within the Clwydian Range, why not pay a visit to the top where you will find the remains of Jubilee Tower and unbeatable views? The Tower was built back in 1810 in order to commemorate the golden jubilee of George III, it’s a great place to visit and on a good day, it is said you can see as far as Blackpool Tower!
The Clwydian Range by Horse!
Why not take a chance to see The Clwydian Range from a different perspective, on horseback! Ride along the scenic pathways, through the rivers and really enjoy exploring this beautiful area in a unique way! Whether you’re with your partner, friends or family, seeing The Range from horseback is something that everyone can enjoy.
